Tuija Knihtilä

The Vienna-based Finnish mezzo-soprano graduated from the Sibelius Academy and continued her studies at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin and Zürich International Opera Studio. Following an engagement at the Finnish National Opera, she has worked as a freelance artist since 2010.

Her repertoire encompasses major dramatic mezzo-soprano roles, as well as symphonic and chamber music—from Carmen, Ortrud, Fricka and Amneris to Mahler, Berlioz, Beethoven, Sibelius and Strauss.
